Salary: $75,750 - $113,625 annually
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager for Med Surg Unit. The Nurse Manager will report to the Director of Progressive Care and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Neurosurgical Medical Surgical department. The role requires strong leadership skills and accountability to ensure high-quality care and the smooth operation of the unit. The Manager will share 24-hour accountability and oversee the departments compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality of care by adhering to departmental policies and external regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Oversee operational and capital budget goals, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Perform hourly rounding and promptly respond to patient requests, ensuring patient needs are proactively met.
- Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hygiene, safety protocols, and isolation procedures.
- Assist in the orientation of new employees and support ongoing staff development.
- Maintain accountability for patient care quality, department productivity, and staff performance.
- Lead the unit to achieve the highest standards of care and staff collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of recent acute care leadership experience in an ICU or Neurological unit.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current clinical practice in the field of expertise.
- RN license in the State of Texas or a Compact State, if applicable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
