BoosterPet Licensed Veterinary Technicians Wanted

As a BoosterPet team member, you will have the opportunity to meet pets and pet parents throughout the greater Seattle metropolitan area as we partner with local community businesses to provide wellness care to pets. We are looking for those that are self-motivated, driven to succeed and are passionate about elevating veterinary medicine through collaboration, innovation, and providing excellent service. Our model offers services consisting of store-front wellness clinics, virtual care and urgent care.
This position will primarily be responsible for serving our pet community in our brick and mortar clinics as a floater helping between our 4 clinics with the opportunity to settle at a location if an opening comes up. Locations include Puyallup, Bonney Lake, Federal Way and Renton. A travel stipend is offered with this position. Applicant must be open to working 1 weekend day.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Play an active role in the BoosterPet medical team to provide quality medical care, model BoosterPet’s core values.
- Ability to complete full physical exams and vitals on behalf of our telemed DVMs.
- Be tech savvy.
- Support BoosterPet virtual care services.
- Complete detailed medical records with thorough medical history. Ensure medical records are accurate within the practice management system.
- Educate animal owners.
- Liaise with veterinarians and veterinary assistants to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure safety of pets, clients, and team members.
- Administer medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian.
- Obtain and verify medications.
- Perform phlebotomy duties, and provide intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SQ) injections.
- Restrain pets in a manner that allows necessary work to be performed, minimizes stress to pets, and ensures the safety of pets and people.
- Assist at front desk/kiosk and greet clients/patients upon entry.
- Answer phones and make appointments as needed.
- Perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Administer first aid for emergencies.
- Induce/monitor and recover anesthetic patients.
- Complete dental cleanings and regional anesthesia when needed.
- Maintain a safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing operating areas, verifying shelf life of medications, maintaining equipment and complying with legal regulations.
- Train new employees on standards of operations.
- Safely drive to various locations in the greater metropolitan Seattle area to support BoosterPet clinics as staffing needs arise.
- Other duties as assigned by managers.
Requirements:
Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure in Washington. You are willing to go with the flow to help a growing company succeed in both conventional and novel ways.
