I. Major Responsibilities:
- Performs all venipunctures and capillary collection on patients.
- Transports all specimens to the Laboratory.

- Attends a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed.
- Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
- Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.

- Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.

II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of a Certificate program in phlebotomy, medical assistant, or a hospital that trains phlebotomy techniques.
Experience/Skills:
Preferred: The Outreach Phlebotomist performs all venipunctures and capillary collection on patients and transports all specimens to the Laboratory. Settings include physician's offices, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home draws.
Unless certification, licensure, or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
