Friday, June 27, 2025. This nursing cooperative with MGH is exclusive to Northeastern University Nursing School Program students.
Why This Role Is Important?Ellison 11 is a thirty-six bed
Cardiology Unit. Staff on this unit specializes in the care of patients with acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, heart failure, and other vascular diagnoses. Most patients on this unit require coronary or peripheral procedures, either diagnostic or interventional. Patients who require electrophysiology studies or procedures may also be admitted to this unit. Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.
Ellison 11 is seeking a full-time PCA, with Day and Night shift availability, and to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Only full-time applicants will be considered for this new opportunity.
What are we looking for?- PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs.
- Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner.

Minimum Requirements:- HS Diploma required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current enrollment in Northeastern University Nursing School Program.
- Completion of the MGH PCA Skills checklist with at least one clinical rotation completed.
