Occupational Health Nurse to join our Brooklyn Park, MN team! If you like working in a fast-paced, inclusive environment where safety is a top priority - Caterpillar is the place for you!
As the Occupational Health Nurse, you will serve as a highly skilled, autonomous occupational health nurse supporting our Brooklyn Park team to drive health and wellness initiatives while partnering closely with the facility safety team.
What you will do:
- Partner with EH&S and HR to generate and implement ongoing improvements that support an initiative-taking health and safety culture.
- Lead Caterpillar wellness program and wellbeing initiatives, including monthly campaigns and managing onsite health exams.
- Deliver comprehensive nursing services and strategy related to employee wellness, day-to-day medical clinic support, and illness and injury prevention initiatives.
- Respond to on-site medical emergencies and lead the on-site Emergency Response Team (ERT).
- Take a leadership role in crafting facility Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
- Receive and critically evaluate medical documentation to determine the need for medical leave and appropriateness of medical restrictions and accommodations.
What you will have:
- This role requires a state of Minnesota Registered Nurse license and at least 3 years of experience in occupational medicine or acute care.
- Knowledge of medical record management and ability to document, manage and maintain patient medical records.
- Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in assessing and diagnosing patients.
- Knowledge of Minnesota medical and work comp laws and policies.
- Knowledge of key business and clinical leadership concepts relevant to the healthcare function.
- Knowledge of nursing assessment and care; ability to assess patients' nursing care needs.
- Knowledge of medical devices and tools; ability to use medical devices to evaluate and treat patients.
Top candidates will also have:
- Knowledge and experience of ergonomics.

- Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
- This position is onsite and offers flexibility in core and variable hours that best support a three-shift operation.
- Relocation is available for this position.
