We are currently hiring a Milieu Therapist for Fremont Hospital!
The Milieu Therapist is responsible for providing individual and group clinical services to assist patients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs. This includes enabling the patient through therapeutic treatment to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. Services provided are individualized assessment and consultation, specialized clinical services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term family therapy, and conducting group therapy on assigned unit(s).
In addition, the Milieu Therapist is responsible for managing the treatment activities offered to the patient in collaboration with unit staff, including: the level system; completing treatment plans, behavioral plans, and individualized treatment programming; interfacing with the physician led treatment team and providing clinical insight and guidance to the unit.
The Milieu Therapist conducts goals meetings with patients and their families, and discharge meetings to complete safety planning and safe transition to next level of care.
Fremont Hospital is a fully accredited, 145-bed private inpatient psychiatric hospital providing quality care for children through adults. The facility provides a full assortment of care which includes assessments, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial-hospitalization, intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment as well as chemical dependency outpatient care.
Commuting to Fremont Hospital is easy! It is conveniently located near public transportation options such as AC Transit, BART, and the ACE Train.
Qualifications
Education:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health or a related field required.
Experience:
- One year direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting required.
- Experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities required.
Licensure:
- Registered and in good standing with the BBS or active license Issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, or other applicable license, preferred.
- LCSW, LMFT, or licensed Psychologist preferred.
