About Us:

About the Role:
- 1:1 intensive self-care and leisure activities program using an OT clinical approach
- Home-based and community-based in Midtown, NYC
- Evening hours: Monday-Sunday between 6:00-10:00pm - 2-4 hour shifts, 2-3 evenings per week with on-call possibilities.
- Work as a team of OTs to support this student
- Can be combined with daytime school caseloads and day/afternoon clinic work (as caseloads are available).
Roles Available:
For immediate hire, we have a unique opportunity for a few therapists to provide a direct 1:1 intensive self-care and leisure activities program in a home setting for a child with a unique diagnosis and collection of needs. This opportunity is in midtown Manhattan and will be for the evening hours between 6-10 pm several days per week.
During the summer months, this case will also be seeking an evening OT several days per week at the shore in Deal, NJ (transportation may be paid).
Schedule:
Monday to Sunday between 6-10pm, 2-4 hours per shift. Weekend availability.
Our Center:
Our center is a multi-disciplinary center that includes OTs, PTs, Special Education teachers and works directly with an on-site speech therapy group. We offer traditional yet holistic Occupational Therapy including advanced programming and specialty treatment approaches that are not available elsewhere in Manhattan. We offer services to children and adults, with most of our clients between 2 and 12 years old.
Applicant Expectations:
- Applicants must have prior pediatric experience (*Senior level therapists > 8 years experience).
- Applicants must be self-motivated, self-disciplined, creative, and confident working independently.
- Applicants must be willing to work in a small, personable setting with an abundance of resources.
- Applicants must be good at communicating.
- Applicants must love being an occupational therapist.
- Applicants must be willing to invest in themselves through mentorship and continuing education.
- Applicant must be licensed in NY State and carry Professional Liability insurance.
PAY: Pay rate will depend on experience, contracts/locations you are willing to take, and your performance. For the right candidates, a premium rate will be paid for this case.
