The Transition to Practice (TTP) Specialty Fellowship Program is designed for RN's who are looking to move into a new specialty.
The following units are participating in this cohort of the ICU TTP Specialty Fellowship Program:
- 8C Trauma Surgical ICU
- 12K Cardiovascular ICU

$52.11- $86.81 per hour, based on RN Degree and level of experience.
The OHSU Clinical registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities, and patient populations. The Clinical RN's care delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics. Required Qualifications
Minimum requirements for all Nurses:
- One year of current nursing experience in adult or pediatric inpatient care area.
- Previous OR experience cannot be considered.
- Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) by 30 days before the start date.
- Associate Degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire.
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license by 1 week before the start date.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Existing OHSU workforce members are not required to have ACLS before the start date per policy HC-HR-111-POL-RR.
- BLS and ACLS must not expire during the TTP Residency Program.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
For internal ONA employees:
- A shadow shift on one of the adult ICUs before an interview is highly encouraged. For scheduling, please contact the manager of your top choice unit.
Additional Details
The intended start date is January 27, 2025 (external)/February 3, 2024 (ONA internal transfer). Please note this date may be adjusted based on operational needs.
Length of Orientation
- Experienced Nurse (Specialty Fellowship) with >1 year of experience:
- Either Transition to Practice (TTP) Program Learning Pathway or Orientation experience individualized to the candidate between 2-12 weeks.

Vacations, paid or unpaid leave requests up to 18-weeks from the start date are not permitted. All other vacation, paid or unpaid leave requests are subject to compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between ONA and OHSU.
