Laboratory Technician Medical 8206
As a Laboratory Technician at our Dallas-based medical facility, you will play a critical role in the execution of routine laboratory tests essential for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. In this position, you will support our team of medical technologists and pathologists by preparing, conducting, and analyzing various laboratory experiments. Your efforts will directly contribute to patient care outcomes by ensuring all laboratory procedures uphold the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and calibrate laboratory equipment for testing and maintenance to ensure operational efficacy.
- Conduct routine and specialized tests on specimens, accurately documenting observations and findings.
- Analyze test results, employing specialized mechanical and electrical devices to confirm compliance with specifications.
- Collect specimens, cultivate, isolate, and perform microbial analysis.
- Assist pathologists in examining stained cells to discern abnormalities and contribute to final diagnostic decisions.
- Consistently record and report test data, utilizing charts, graphs, and narratives to facilitate understanding of outcomes.
- Engage in continuous professional development to keep pace with advances in medical laboratory techniques.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year laboratory experience in a medical setting.
- Ability to perform tasks independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evening and weekends.
- Strong foundational knowledge in handling and operating laboratory equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in medical technology or related vocational training.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis tools and laboratory information systems.
- Understanding of standard clinical procedures and regulatory requirements in a laboratory setting.
