SUMMARY
Provide high-quality mental health care to patients in various settings, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting mental health assessments and developing individualized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Providing counselling and therapy to patients
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Educating patients and their families on mental health issues and treatment options
- Monitoring and evaluating patient progress
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Mental Health Nursing or related field
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with the NMC or Registered Nurse (RN) license with the NMC with Certification in Mental Health Nursing
- Qualified in the delivery of Specific Talking Therapy treatments (certification required)
- Registered with appropriate NHS Talking Therapies Professional Bodies
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and compassion
- Crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other patient record management systems
