Occupational Health Nurse
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in Canby, Oregon. Compensation: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee health initiatives such as health fairs and specific health screenings like blood lead management.
- Provide prompt and effective emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, ensuring a quick response in critical situations.
- Develop, maintain, and implement occupational health policies and procedures to manage workplace safety efficiently.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations, safeguarding the workplace against any health-related legal issues.
- Conduct medical surveillance and biological monitoring in line with OSHA Lead standards, maintaining a safe level of exposure in the work environment.
- Provide counseling and intervention for employees regarding blood-lead levels, promoting awareness and prevention of lead exposure.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nursing License in Oregon or eligibility for licensure in the state.
- At least 5 years of professional nursing experience, demonstrating a broad knowledge of nursing practices and principles.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in Occupational Health or a closely related nursing management role, verifying depth in the field.
- Proficient in blood draw techniques, capable of performing venipuncture with high accuracy and minimal discomfort to patients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience dealing with Worker’s Compensation claims and related matters.
- Familiarity with federal and state occupational health laws and regulations, including OSHA standards.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex situations and make appropriate medical decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage health programs and initiatives proactively.
