Job Description:
The Clinical Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching. Clinical Staff Pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patient's drug therapies and provide drug information. Clinical Staff Pharmacist supervises and directs supportive staff. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy.
QualificationsJob Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution.
Experience:
Minimum of two years (2) required experience, preferably in a hospital setting. A residency in the field of specialty is desired. Strong regulatory and clinical knowledge required. Proficient in USP 797 guidelines. IV Room specialist preferred.
Technical Skills:
Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features Morosoft Office and knowledge of hospital information system.
License/Certification:
Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada.
