Top Client in need of an Ortho Trauma PCU RN in Plano, TX
Job Responsibilities
- Applying the standards set forth for nursing practice by the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Ortho Trauma PCU RN will organize, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care for a unique population of patients.
- Plan, implement, revise and delegate nursing care.
- Perform necessary technical skills as delineated through education, expertise, and unit requirements.
- Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
On this fast-paced and challenging 37-bed step down unit, you will provide care to adult patients undergoing elective procedures such as total joint replacement, bone, and soft tissue tumor resections as well as patients with various fractures, amputations and injuries from traumatic events such as car accidents and gunshots.
Education
- BSN required.
- Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted.
- Current BLS/ACLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
- Must have at least one (1) year of RECENT Medical Surgical or Intermediate Care RN experience in an acute care hospital.
- Ortho or Trauma experience is PREFERRED.
- WILL NOT CONSIDER REHAB, LTAC OR HOME HEALTH.
