- Posting Summary: Rutgers University-Newark is seeking a Physician I for the Health Services. Reporting to the Director of Student Health Services, the position should be experienced and adept in women's health, mental health care, age-appropriate preventive health services, acute and chronic care, and treatment of accidents and other illnesses. The Physician I should practice sensitive, holistic care, health education and counseling of patients and follow accepted clinical guidelines. A significant portion of the clinical duties will entail office gynecology.

Qualifications
- Minimum Education and Experience: Requires a current New Jersey physician license MD or DO including residency and board certification.
- Certifications/Licenses:
- Medical License registered in the State of NJ
- Board Certified
- BLS/ALS Certification within 3 months of appointment or willing to be certified
- NJ DEA and CDS license
- Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Interest in and ability to conduct preventive medicine, adolescent medicine, and health education.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in college health setting preferred
- Two (2) years of experience particularly in women's health, general medical practice e.g., family practice preferred.
- Equipment Utilized:
- Computerized Health Records (currently Medicat)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, formulating reports and documents for quality improvement, medical equipment, electronic medical record, email, internet, EKG Machine, and ultrasound.
