Description:Chief Physician Assistant - Ambulatory Surgery - New Building Opening - White Plains, NYNewYork-Presbyterian is committed to providing the highest quality care to residents of Westchester County and surrounding communities. Opening in September 2025, a new, multi-disciplinary, state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility will offer a wide range of adult and pediatric specialty care services, all under one roof, delivered by exceptional care teams led by trusted Columbia doctors. Located at 1111 Westchester Avenue in White Plains, the center will set a new standard for superior patient experience, convenience, and quality care.
This new 380,000 square foot multi-specialty Ambulatory Care Facility sets a new bar in personalized outpatient care -- from diagnosis to treatment -- by integrating new technologies and innovative clinical approaches to provide the highest quality care and enhance the patient experience.
This facility will have a state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center with multiple operating and procedural rooms. As part of the Care Team, the Surgical PA service will play an integral role in providing high quality, patient-centered care across multiple specialties.
The PA will practice top of license in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of care, supporting surgical cases in a 1st or 2nd assist capacity.

The Chief PA will lead the Surgical PA Care team while maintaining clinical responsibilities.
Under the direction of the Director of Operations and Medical Director, the Chief PA will take on leadership responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Supervision for Physician Assistants
- Provide work direction, assignments, and scheduling for staff and oversight of PAs; timekeeping
- Assist in preparing performance evaluations and addressing personnel concerns to include review and recommendation of disciplinary actions
- Assist with development of educational curriculum for staff PAs and participates in the educational development of staff physician assistants and physician assistant students
- Develop and implement service protocols in collaboration with leadership
- Work closely with leadership to identify, plan, implement and evaluate orientation/education programs for enhancing preceptorship of new staff or serve as a mentor and able to train new staff members
This position is a 5 (five) 7.5-hour day shift rotation between the hours of 6 am to 8 am.
Required Criteria:- Minimum 6 years of surgical experience in 1st or 2nd assist capacity with 3 years of supervisory experience leading a PA team.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies
- NYS licensure
- NCCPA certification
- DEA Certification
- BLS/ACLS/PALS certification
