Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH), located in Blair, Nebraska, is seeking a Ultrasound Tech to join our Radiology team working PRN/Casual.

Job Summary

Shift Details: PRN position, call at least one weekend/month and one day/week.
Performs ultrasound exams according to department procedures (including labeling of images, patient and exam preparation, obtaining history and explaining exam to patient).
Responsible for operating ultrasound equipment and performing Vascular exams in such a manner that high quality images are obtained for a Radiologist’s use in diagnostic interpretation.
Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological diagnostic information and images.
Uses independent judgment during exam to differentiate between normal and pathological findings.

Job Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification or board eligible.
Currently licensed by the state of Nebraska as a Medical Radiographer.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
One year of experience in a high volume ultrasound department is preferred.
One year of experience in a high volume vascular department is preferred, but will train as needed.
