Job Overview
The Senior Clinical Molecular Geneticist is an integral part of theChildren's Hospital Colorado Precision Diagnostics Laboratory team.Advancing our understanding of genomics and for providing accurateinterpretation of genomics data for effective diagnoses and treatment of ourpatients. Works with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals,including laboratory technologist, variant analysts, software engineers,data analysts, genetic counselors, scientific directors, and physiciansto provide clinical expertise in interpretation of genomics laboratory testresults with primary responsibility for signing out interpretative reports.

Qualifications
EDUCATION - Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D.) in MolecularGenetics, Human Genetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.EXPERIENCE - Five (5) years' experience in molecular genetics variantanalysis or case review and sign out in a clinical laboratory setting. Broadknowledge of genetic variant databases and their utility is essential with abasic knowledge of NGS wet-bench techniques, data quality, andbioinformatics tEQUIVALENCY - Combination of education and/or clinical relevantexperience: bachelor degree and fourteen (14) years or masters degreeand ten (10) years.CERTIFICATION(S) - For eligible candidate only - board certification byAmerican Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) is preferred uponhire or within 1 year.Candidates with previous whole exome/genome clinical case sign outexperience strongly preferred.
