Clinical Improvement Consultant - Opioid Prescriber Safety & Support

We are looking for a knowledgeable, high achieving and skilled Clinical Improvement Consultant for our Opioid Prescriber Safety & Support program who is ready to join a great organization that is proud of its rich legacy and excited about the days ahead.
What is the Role?
As a Clinical Improvement Consultant for our Opioid Prescriber Safety & Support program, you are part of our Health Services Team and your passion for sustainable healthcare transformation, quality improvement, and patient safety are all core components of our organizational success and significantly contribute to our important mission.
Your role will vary from the strategic - such as assessing and analyzing gaps in healthcare performance and developing innovative strategies, ideas, reports, and processes to drive improvements - through the tactical - such as providing consultation to healthcare providers and stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships and engaging clinical staff, and collaborating with the IHC Research and Analytics Team to accomplish specified data reporting activities and contractual obligations.
You will be responsible for:
- Drawing on LEAN continuous improvement methodologies, project/change management skills and clinical expertise to analyze and drive quality improvement using evidence-based practices in accordance with standards established by federal and state regulatory agencies.
- Assessing gaps in healthcare performance, providing consultation and ongoing evaluation of hospital and provider performance, developing strategies for improvement, facilitating prioritization of improvement activities, making recommendations and ensuring successful implementation of initiatives.
- Providing pain-related education and support to clinicians and peers.
- Providing consultation to healthcare leadership and other stakeholders regarding aspects of data design, collection, analysis, and presentation.
- Working with internal and external partners on the development, alignment, and execution of strategies to engage physicians, providers, and the clinical community in healthcare QI efforts.
- Acting as an organizational patient safety champion, and an effective member of the patient safety and QI team, supporting patient safety concepts and high reliability principles.

Who Are You?
- You are a committed, skilled professional with a strong passion for healthcare, patient safety, and quality improvement.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Healthcare Management or a related field - if you have a Master's degree, an active, unrestricted RN license, and/or quality management or patient safety certification(s) such as CPHQ, CQM, ASQ, Six Sigma or Lean even better!
- You have a minimum of four years' experience providing pain-related education to clinical peers and/or patients. An Active Pain Management Nursing Certification (PMGT-BC) or Certified Pain Educator (CPE) is strongly desired but not required.
- You possess the equivalent of five years of experience in nursing and/or program administration, QI and/or patient safety, healthcare analytics, infection prevention, care management, or driving clinical transformation initiatives in a healthcare setting.
- You are knowledgeable in clinical quality reporting standards for ambulatory care, healthcare management, clinical measurement reporting, and evidence-based medicine.
- You have a strong background in healthcare and quality improvement, including interpreting and utilizing clinical data analytics, outcomes measurement, evaluating results, and creating reports and presentations.
- You have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple, deadline-driven projects simultaneously and you possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
- You are a positive, friendly, and authentic contributor with a strong ability to build relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders, and you work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
