We are looking to add 1 new Thoracic Surgeon to our team. We have a very busy practice at one of the largest hospitals in Florida. This position will consist of minimally invasive surgery, including thoracoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic surgery techniques, and an interest in managing patients with the full spectrum of thoracic pathology, including benign and malignant esophageal disease. We have the ability to do essentially everything besides lung transplants.
Our highly skilled thoracic surgeons consistently rank among the top thoracic surgeons in the country and are among the U.S. News Top Doctors list compiled by U.S. News & World Report. The division is also listed as one of the top programs reporting to the Society of Thoracic Surgeons STS National Database, a collection of some of the best thoracic surgery programs in the nation.
This position is going to be 100% Thoracic, with no Cardiac or Vascular work. Our team does about 1,000 thoracic cases per year with a breakdown of about 50% lungs, 30% Esophagus & 20% everything else. There is not an academic appointment with this position but you can do clinical research and get an adjunct professor position if interested. The normal work week will be 2.5 days in the OR, 1.5 days in the Clinic, and 0.5 day for Endoscopy.

- Lung cancer screenings (low dose CT scans)
- Monarch robotic-assisted bronchoscopy
- Electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy (ENB)
- Endobronchial (endoscopic) ultrasound (EBUS)
