The Scheduling Coordinator promotes M Physicians' philosophy of patient-centered care by guiding customers through appointment and procedure scheduling, as well as coordinating all follow-up support with the healthcare team. The individual in this role displays proficient time management skills, the ability to prioritize and triage work in a fast-paced environment, thinks critically and displays interpersonal competency.
Our Cardiology Clinic supports a wide variety of patients with their cardiac needs. This includes preventative care, coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, atrial fibrillation and more. We have a large group of providers that work closely with the RN's, clinical support staff, scheduling staff and more to provide excellent patient care. We are excited to add an individual to our clinic who enjoys being part of a team and has a passion for caring for patients!
What you will do as a Scheduling Coordinator:
- Schedules multiple same day appointments, follow-up appointments and special or complex medical procedures
- Provides support to staff and physicians, and other customers by managing phone calls and correspondence
- Prioritizes and maintains patient files and documents
- Requests additional patient records from other clinics, facilities to ensure continuity of care
What you will need:
- An Associate's Degree in medical related field or 2+ years post high school education
- 2+ years of work experience in an outpatient or inpatient clinic setting providing general administrative support and/or scheduling experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
