Come join our team and love what you do! We are currently hiring a Per Diem Outpatient Therapist for Fremont Hospital!
This position is in the Outpatient Department of Fremont Hospital. The primary job duties of the Outpatient Therapist lie in patient care in milieu settings for Partial Hospitalization programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for both adolescents and adults.
As an Outpatient Therapist you will facilitate daily groups and weekly 1:1 meetings using an evidence-based treatment consistent with research findings. Clinical duties include the assessment, safety planning, weekly treatment goals, discharge planning, reporting during treatment planning, maintaining patient attendance to the prescribed treatment, and ensuring documentation compliance. The Therapist exercises sound judgment, and clinical excellence sustains therapeutic alliance and patient satisfaction.
You also perform case management duties for Fremont Hospital's Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization programs, and carry a patient load of both adults and adolescents. You attend daily clinical meetings and ensure the behavioral treatment provided to the patient is consistent with what is communicated to and understood by other team members, medical staff and other adjunct care providers. You also maintain communication with families, community providers and insurance case managers.
Groups and patient care follow many different modalities of treatment including CBT, DBT, Art, Process driven topics, Symptom management, Selfcare, psychoeducation, etc.
Fremont Hospital is a fully accredited, 148-bed private inpatient psychiatric hospital providing quality care for children through adults. The facility provides a full assortment of care which includes assessments, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial-hospitalization, intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment as well as chemical dependency outpatient care.
Qualifications
Education: Master's or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year direct clinical experience in a psychiatric, mental health setting or comparable. Experienced in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities. Ability to provide skills training and cognitive restructuring within the cognitive-affective-behavioral mode used and other evidence-based treatment, some DBT preferred.
Licensure: APCC, AMFT, ASW, LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or PsyD required.
Certification(s): CPR/AED Certification must be current and presented to Human Resources upon hire. You may be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
