The role involves evaluating speech, language, cognitive, and communication impairments, as well as swallowing, airway, clinical voice, and resonance disorders. The candidate will develop and administer speech therapy programs and treatments for inpatients and outpatients across various age groups, including neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Duties require patient and family education, as well as exercising courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel, and others to provide quality customer service.
REQUIRED:
- Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
- Must be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups.
- Must be certified (CCC) by the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association, or meet the educational requirements for certification and be in the process of accumulating the supervised experience required for certification, with completion in one year.
PREFERRED:
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other government regulations.
