Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor

As a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor, you will lead the night shift, ensuring high-quality care and effective management of nursing staff. This role is critical in maintaining continuity between shifts, handling emergencies adeptly, and fostering a supportive atmosphere for both staff and residents.
Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee patient care, ensuring treatment is administered according to individual care plans and adjusting as necessary based on changes in residents' health status.
- Supervise night shift nursing staff, manage staff assignments, ensure adequate staffing levels, and address performance or disciplinary issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations; manage documentation and reporting requirements including patient care records and incident reports.
- Maintain open and effective communication with residents, their families, and medical staff to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
- Facilitate training and development for the night shift staff, including managing in-service educational sessions.
- Handle emergencies with clinical proficiency and leadership, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
- Collaborate closely with day shift management to guarantee seamless transitions and sustained care quality across all shifts.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2-3 years nursing experience, with a preference for backgrounds in long-term care or rehabilitation environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a team in a dynamic setting.
- Strong communication and leadership skills essential for effective team management and resident interactions.
- Availability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a healthcare setting.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards, with a track record of maintaining compliance and enhancing care quality.
- Experience in emergency response and crisis management in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and healthcare IT systems.
