We are a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency/critical care hospital (certified level 1 VECCS hospital), and a tertiary referral center. Use your training and skills in Oncology. We know that you’ve worked hard in your veterinary career and we will give you the opportunity to use and expand your knowledge and experience. The skills our Oncology Veterinary Technicians/Assistants excel at are phlebotomy and may be trained to administer chemotherapy using our safe closed system devices to administer chemotherapy treatments.
Our Oncology team is trained to develop strong knowledge of all chemotherapy agents used in our practice while wearing up-to-date PPE. Angell technicians and assistants also practice the most up-to-date safety guidelines and will soon be working in a newly renovated environment using all federal and state safety regulations. Our Oncology team participates in daily Rounds to review the current day patient’s treatment plans. Our veterinary medical oncology technicians and Assistants develop strong bonds with owners’ pets undergoing treatment, focusing on providing the best quality of life for our patients.

Applicants who have compassion, excellent communication skills, and the empathy to deal with patients and clients. To be hired as a technician, applicants must be a certified technician. To be hired as a Veterinary Assistant, applicants must have a minimum of one year of experience as a veterinary assistant in an animal clinic or hospital.

Experience Required:

- Minimum 1 year’s experience as a veterinary assistant in a busy animal clinic or hospital. New graduates from an accredited Veterinary Technology program are encouraged to apply.
- To be hired as a technician, you must be a certified veterinary or licensed technician.
Education Preferred:
- Associates or better in Veterinary Technology or related field.
Licenses & Certifications Preferred:
- Certified Vet Tech.
Skills Required:
- Previous Animal Handling Experience.
