| Posting Summary | Rutgers The State University is seeking a Senior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Cherry Hill Outpatient Services within Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare.
The LPN provides technical nursing care to child through adult populations. Performs treatments and procedures within established guidelines. Provides a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: - Provides direct care to patients within scope of practice.
- Takes vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure on all patients and documents immediately in the EMR.
- Administers medications and parenteral therapy in accordance with established UBHC guidelines.
- Performs venipuncture as required.
- Collects and processes laboratory specimens.
- Follows National Patient Safety Goals in proper identification of patient before collecting specimens.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience | - Three (3) years of relevant experience as an LPN is required.

| Certifications/Licenses | - Possession of a valid and current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey.

| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | - Demonstrated competency in venipuncture techniques required.
- Demonstrated strong clinical nursing specialty, excellent communication skills, must be PC literate with proficiency in word processing and leadership abilities required.
