ANNUAL SALARY (DEPENDING ON SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): $145,000.00 - $175,000.00

Epic Care is seeking a APP (NP or PA) to work full-time alongside our dedicated team of health care professionals in our medical oncology service line. Oncology experience is preferred but not necessary; we are willing to train motivated individuals as an oncology nurse practitioner. Medical Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin language skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide hematology & medical oncology specialty patient care in inpatient and outpatient care settings.
- Perform physical exams and patient observations.
- Record patient medical histories and symptoms.
- Create patient care plans and contribute to existing plans.
- Order, administer and analyze diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose health issues.
- Detect changes in a patient's health and change treatment plans as necessary.
- Administer medicines and treatments.
- Evaluate responses to treatments and medications.
- Consult with healthcare professionals, participate in tumor boards.
- Train patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention.
Qualifications
- Oncology experience is preferred but not required. Appropriate degree from an accredited program.
- Must have an active NP and PA licensure in the state of California.
- Must have prescriptive authorization, active DEA license.
- Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese or other language is preferred.
- Must be proficient with medical instruments and equipment required by the work.
- Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as electronic medical records.
- Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians, and representatives of the community.
- Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
