The Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer performs a variety of specialized ultrasonic procedures while assisting physicians in patient diagnosis and various ultrasound-guided surgical procedures.
As the Sonographer at Asante, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work with a cohesive team to provide quality healthcare using state-of-the-art ultrasound technology.
- Build relationships with physicians and medical staff to provide quality results.
- Work in an accredited General Ultrasound Department.
What You Must Have/Obtain
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start.
- ARDMS: American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in the specialties of Abdomen (Abd) - OR - Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/Gyn) and Vascular Technology (RVT) is required for this position. Board certification in RVT and one general ultrasound specialty must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Licensed in Sonography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with subspecialty as an RDMS in Abd and OB/Gyn is preferred. A temporary license is required for new hires. Official license in both subspecialties, and national registry, must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in related field.
- License from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International in Vascular Ultrasound.
- License in Sonography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with sub-specialty as a Registered Vascular Technologist.
- RMSKS: Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
