DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Lewis 2 is a 22 bed Geri Psych/Behavioral Health Unit for patient population 55+. We provide a vibrant activities program along with special group sessions and programming to provide support. A special group room houses musical instruments, art supplies and other items to engage individual patient strengths and interests. Patients are cared for by an entire team consisting of: Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Case Managers, Milieu Therapists and Nursing Assistants.
Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for patients in accordance with established Nursing Standards of Care. He/she demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of nursing care and directly reports to a designated nurse manager and/or clinical manager/off shift manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- All newly hired RN candidates must have a BSN degree within 1 year of hire.
- Licensure: MA. RN Licensure required.
- Certifications: Maintains current Basic Life Support "C" certification.
$10k Sign-On Bonus (prorated for part-time employees) for newly hired experienced RNs with 2 years of experience in the specialty hired for.
Newly hired experienced RNs interested in committing to a minimum of two years of employment at Cambridge Health Alliance may be eligible to receive a retention bonus of $10,000.
