This position will be instrumental in the preparation of new turn-key framing bids, updating pricing on existing bids and maintaining the lumber database.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Receives invitation to bid new projects from Builders.
- Download and print plans from Builder’s website.
- Perform accurate lumber and hardware takeoffs in Excel based program.
- Compile material lists and pricing into Access database.
- Collaborate with General Manager on labor bid to finalize proposal.
- Re-price existing bids for upcoming releases.
- Maintain and edit lumber and hardware takeoffs.
- Create door and window header cut lists.
- Work with Field Superintendents to verify takeoffs.
- Work with General Manager on piece pricing and labor budgets.
- Design corbels, knee braces and shutters.
- Other tasks as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- At least one-year experience working as a framing estimator.
- Computer knowledge; Web navigation, document scanning, typing, Excel, Word, Outlook Office application competency.
