Job Overview:
The Business Analyst will be responsible for preparing monthly financials and financial reporting, as well as assisting with data entry and mapping of new financial analysis software. The primary focus of this role will be to analyze financial data, identify trends, and generate accurate and timely reports to support financial decision-making.
The Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and IT, to ensure data integrity, system accuracy, and compliance with financial reporting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly Financials: Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial data from various sources. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports and dashboards to provide insights on key financial metrics and performance indicators. Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and present findings to management for decision-making purposes.
- Data Entry: Enter financial data into financial systems and software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Perform data validation and verification to maintain data integrity and consistency.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline financial reporting and data entry processes. Develop and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and patterns.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in financial reporting, data analysis, and data entry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel required.
