Translate business requirements and reporting needs into data solutions. Prepare analyses illustrating approach and recommendations. Identify and recommend new ways to streamline business processes and KPIs. Review reports, identify opportunities for improvements, and minimize redundant reporting. Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, self-serve BI solutions, and data flows. Provide increased focus on analytics and emphasize providing valuable insights to drive improvement opportunities. Maximize data integration and work closely with data engineering teams. Expand use-cases that utilize data and analytics in making business decisions. Perform data analyses on large, complex data sets. Reveal underlying patterns, correlations, and trends to measure growth and performance. Build analytical reports to understand and provide insights for Field Management KPIs. Build data flows, models, and similar data manipulation tools to query large amounts of data. Create reporting tools that transform data into usable information for business partners. Create and manage data architecture. Maintain a consistent elevated level of attention to risk mitigation and data quality issues.
Salary
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $132,000.00 and $132,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements
Requires a Master’s Degree in Information Technology & Management, Computer Science, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or related.
Requires two (2) years of experience with:
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to identify business problems;
- Gathering requirements to develop analytical solutions;
- Programming using SQL;
- Developing data flows and models to curate datasets to be used in data analysis;
- Automating and integrating data from multiple sources into a single data repository;
- Conducting data analysis using SAS;
- Building scalable reports and dashboards using Tableau;
- Using Tableau to interpret data and generate business insights;
- Distilling data into actionable recommendations.
