Onsite in Conshohocken
We are seeking an IT resource to assist with the installation of equipment at properties that do not have a dedicated resource in the area. This work is expected to take approximately 8-10 weeks.
The position involves managing our third-party vendor who will be onsite performing the physical aspects of the work. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate asset management and remotely connecting to the devices to configure aspects such as installing printer drivers, running updates, verifying end-user information, and ensuring everything is functioning properly.
The ideal candidate will be physically present in one of our corporate offices in either Conshohocken or Rochester. This position is similar to the Deskside Analyst role, but it is temporary and focused on managing our Deskside work in areas without dedicated resources.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, support, and troubleshoot network devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, faxes, switches, routers, modems, patch panels, wiring, etc.
- Support ancillary systems such as key fobs, gate systems, security cameras, and other internet-connected property devices.
- Ensure that every office is set up with standard configuration and all components are functioning correctly.
- Provide timely support assisting end users with software and hardware issues.
- Install new equipment and remove old equipment.
- Maintain the appearance of computer equipment, wiring, and networking components.
- Assist with equipment moves and relocation of IT equipment.
- Support acquisitions of new properties.
- Provide second-level support/training to first-level help desk.
- This position requires physical labor such as unloading pallets of equipment, picking up heavy printers, maneuvering under desks and in crawl spaces, and loading equipment onto vehicles.
- This position requires day travel for onsite assistance when needed.
Requirements and Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience providing support for both hardware and software issues.
- Experience with MS Windows in an Active Directory domain environment.
- Basic network troubleshooting skills including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
- Experience with installation and configuration of network printers, scanners, and storage devices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
