Senior Tax & Staff Accountant
Public Accounting
An innovative, local CPA firm seeks another dynamic team member eager to grow in their career and deliver outstanding client service in a firm that is rapidly expanding.
Client CPA firm is currently seeking CPAs and staff accountants who are currently working or who have recently worked in the public accounting environment. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication and leadership skills, prioritizing excellent client relations with the understanding that their performance is a direct reflection of client retention and new client development. Key attributes sought include specialization in financial statement compilations, business tax preparation, individual tax preparation, and QuickBooks. Tax software experience is a plus but not required (Prosy, FX tax, and Engagement).
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, S corporations, LLCs, and partnerships.
- Preparation of GAAP and OCBOA compiled financial statements, including transaction data entry, account reconciliation, general ledger write-up, and journal entry preparation as required.
- Preparation of payroll, sales tax, and other miscellaneous business filings as requested.
- Effective work paper preparation in compliance with firm standards and procedures.
- Work as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks within the deadline.
- Build strong working relationships within the team.
- Daily time tracking through firm billing software and sensitivity to maintenance of an appropriate billable time ratio.
- A commitment to work extended hours during tax season.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in preparing financial statements and compilations, business, and individual tax returns.
- CPA or CPA eligible for senior role.

Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 to 15 years’ experience required.
- Must have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and QuickBooks software.
- Experience with Prosy, FX tax, and Engagement software a plus.
- Must be a CPA or a CPA candidate.
