Data Reports Analyst (Banking Products-Credit Risk)
Location:
Remote US (Preferred locations Los Angeles, Charlotte, NY, or Scottsdale AZ)
Compensation:
$50.00-$56.00/hour
Duration:
6+ months (possible CTH)
Work Requirements:
Holders, or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Under limited supervision, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through formal education and work experience to perform quantitative and qualitative risk analyses of retail and small business portfolios. Designs, prepares, and distributes risk reports. Performs various credit risk analyses to ensure compliance with established exposure limits. Works independently on difficult assignments that are both broad in scope and complex in nature.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly credit risk reports.
- Collect and review data for accuracy.
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of credit risk reports.
- Coordinate efforts between Risk Management and the business units to resolve exception/exposure items and prepare responses for Senior Management inquiries.
- Develop comprehensive and efficient solutions to complex risk measurement and reporting needs.
- Provide analysis and commentary regarding significant credit exposure and concentration issues.
- Analyze business processes, procedures, and information requirements to resolve problems, and improve workflow, and process efficiency.
- Calculate risk using industry-standard models, potential future exposures, and stress testing.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 2-4 years of general concepts of credit risk management and retail banking.
- Data analysis skills are necessary.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
- Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.
- SQL, Python, Oracle familiarity, Tableau, Snowflake, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to:
- Conduct research to assess the probability and severity of risk.
- Analyze, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Interpret, analyze, and apply information.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, procedures, and techniques.
- Develop strong working relationships with business partners.
- Comply with established standards and procedures.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years of relevant business experience in financial services.
