Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Summary: My client is in search of a strong, well-rounded & experienced accountant. This individual will be accountable for:
- Prepare/Reconcile bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
- Maintain Balance sheet schedules monthly.
- Support Cash Flow Model creation & support.
- Run and create commission QB reports.
- Create daily Journal entries.
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Perform expense account analysis.
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas.
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Special projects or additional duties as assigned.
- Support all AP & AR functions.
- Support Reconciliation for ecommerce platforms.
- Assist with Tax preparation.
- Completing analysis of the employee expenditures.
- Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
Experience & Credentials
- 3-5 years of Accounting Experience.
- Must have intermediate experience with QuickBooks & Excel.
- BA in Accounting.
- Must have good excel skills.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Experience with accounting software and data entry.
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets.
- Ability to work independently.
- Analytical skills.
- Must be able to work at HQ Norwalk, CT 3-4 days a week.
