Description
Develop tools and models to analyze and improve Company financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data; recommending actions. The financial analyst is a key player in company profit improvements using analytical tools and recommendations to Company leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and maintain appropriate analytic tools to establish goals and measure performance.
- Build rigorous financial models utilizing Company cost and profit drivers to track and predict financial performance.
- Lead the annual planning and weekly/monthly forecast process (sales, production, operating expenses, capital expenditures & working capital) plus the consolidation of all divisions.
- Support the strategic business planning process.
- Identify and surface financial concerns by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Lead cost and profitability analysis by providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
- Improve financial status by monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
- Prepare the weekly, monthly & quarterly financial reporting packages for key stakeholders.
- Coordinate and lead BI implementation for key metric reporting.
- Provide insight to spending trends to increase understanding and inform decision making.
Partner with accounting & treasury as appropriate.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 3-5 years of experience in financial positions of increasing scope.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
Preferred:
- Experience in similar industry – Manufacturing (mattress, furniture, etc.) or Retail.
- Exposure to companies with private equity ownership.
JOB FACTORS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Up to 10% travel.
- Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
