Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and reporting financial information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations, and assisting in financial planning and analysis. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial health of the company by executing general accounting functions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of internal reports, including variance analysis and forecasts.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
General Ledger Management:
- Oversee daily journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data, and produce financial reports or statements as needed.
Accounts Payable/Receivable:
- Manage the accounts payable and receivable process, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and process invoices, verifying accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
- Reconcile and report discrepancies between financial records and vendor/customer accounts.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Support management in analyzing financial performance and identifying areas for cost control.
Auditing Support:
- Assist in audit preparation and support auditing activities by providing required documentation and explanations.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend changes to optimize workflow.
- Implement new accounting procedures and controls where necessary to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Communicate financial results and reports to management and stakeholders as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
- 2-5 years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, data analysis).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
