We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical FP&A Analyst to join our growing finance team. The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for assisting with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. A successful candidate will have strong financial modelling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to analyze trends, develop insights, make recommendations, and work cross-functionally to optimize our investments. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are critical. The FP&A Analyst will initially report directly to the CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Develop and maintain detailed and dynamic financial models.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
- Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making (e.g. product line analysis).
- Assist in the evaluation of potential investments and capital allocation decisions.
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, or a similar role.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Suite and financial software applications, with an aptitude for learning new systems and software (experience with tools such as Mosaic is a plus).
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrates high degree of intellectual curiosity – persistently seeking to understand the key drivers/root cause, to identify trends, insights and solve problems.
