Allegiance is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of various financial reports. Responsibilities:
- Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Record & classify daily bank and credit card transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
- Ensure all financial data is entered accurately and timely.
Month-End Close:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare and post manual journal entries as necessary.
Quarterly and Annual Close:
- Support the Controller in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Assist in the coordination of external requests and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Assist in analyzing financial data and trends to provide insights into business performance.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles and company accounting policies.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the operations team to reconcile inventory records.
- Assist in the valuation of inventory and calculation of cost of goods sold.
- Review vendor invoices and payments.
- Help to maintain accurate record of accounts payable and reconcile vendor statements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Previous experience with QuickBooks Online preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
