Senior Financial Analyst
PartnerMD, a membership medical practice specializing in primary care and executive health, has an employment opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst at its Richmond, VA location. The Sr Financial Analyst will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while implementing a Business Intelligence solution to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization. Essential Role Objectives:
Financial Planning
- Execute the annual budgeting processes, coordinates with all area owners to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Responsible for the presentation of the annual budget to executive leadership, and location managers including three sheet financial statements and KPI targets.
- Creates and maintains flexible long term (5 year) strategic planning model.
- Partner with cross-functional business partners across locations to develop driver based and bottoms up 15-to-18-month forecasting model including key metrics, P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Own and enhance models that project key metrics, revenue and expenses.
Financial Analysis/Reporting
- Create quarterly reports for the Board and leadership.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis as required to drive business decision making including Cost of Customer Acquisition, NPV analysis, and market research.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide financial insights.
- Develop business metrics and KPIs to increase company understanding of performance, investments, and relative efficiency.
- Work with financial data, translating business data to usable information.
- Develop models to evaluate growth opportunities including greenfield expansion and possible acquisitions. Assist with diligence as needed.
Business Intelligence Reporting
- Working with leadership, select a BI reporting solution and implementation partner that can serve as portal to operational and financial systems.
- Support strategic initiatives through data analytics; collaborate with product, finance, and line of business partners to understand the impact of changes in pricing and value proposition to client behavior and financials.
- Define, monitor, and report key management metrics; implement and manage business intelligence solutions such as scorecards and dashboards. Provide top tier analytic and decision support.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand diverse reporting requirements and serve as a thought leader in simplifying the execution of data management and reporting processes.
- Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Present analytical insights and map strategy to data-driven business practices in a clear, concise way to executive management.
Required Job Qualifications & Competencies:
- Three (3) years of experience spanning various finance roles, with a demonstrated ability to create 3 sheet financial models.
- Experienced with budgeting, forecasting, and planning tools.
- Experience acquiring, cleaning, and analyzing data.
- Understanding of finance forecasting.
- Understanding of regulatory, month-end, and financial statement reporting cycle.
- Possess skill with Excel at an advanced level.
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or significant directly related experience.
Preferred Job Qualifications & Competencies:
- Masters in Business field (MBA, MS Accounting, MS Finance, MS Data Science).
Reporting and Other Expectations
The position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The person in this position will also have significant contact and involvement with other senior members of the Leadership Team. The work will be based at PartnerMD’s corporate headquarters in Richmond, VA. The work week is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
