Job Title: Loan Officer
Location: Hybrid/Remote | Offices in Timonium, Annapolis, & St. Michael’s, MD
Coastal Lending Group, a leading financial institution specializing in mortgage lending, is seeking an
experienced and motivated Loan Officer to join our dynamic team. As a Loan Officer, you will play a critical role
in assisting our clients with their loan needs, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the

Primary Job Duties:
● Generate new business by proactively identifying and pursuing loan opportunities through various
channels including referrals, networking, and marketing strategies.
● Maintain accurate and organized loan files and documentation.
● Meet with prospective borrowers to understand their financial goals and objectives. Guide them through
the loan application process, discussing recommended loan products based on their eligibility.
● Work with LOA to collect and review loan applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete,
accurate, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with borrowers to address any
deficiencies and provide guidance on gathering additional information, if necessary.
● Conduct thorough credit assessments, analyzing applicants' financial statements, credit reports, and
other relevant documents
● Structure loan proposals based on borrowers' financial profiles, loan purposes, and institutional
guidelines. Determine loan amounts, interest rates, terms, and repayment schedules that meet the
needs of both the borrower and the lending institution.
● Adhere to all applicable lending regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Conduct
due diligence to identify potential risks and mitigate them effectively. Stay up-to-date with changing
regulatory requirements and industry trends.
● Collaborate with internal teams, including LOAs, underwriters, processors, and closers, to facilitate the
smooth and timely processing of loans. Maintain open communication channels to ensure all involved
are well-informed and aligned.
● Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred
● Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Loan Officer in the mortgage lending industry
● In-depth knowledge of mortgage loan products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirement
● Strong sales and business development skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales
targets
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment
● Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
