General Summary:
The focus of this role is designing and implementing a standardized Revenue Cycle and Account Receivable (AR) operation within the organization including supervision and training of billing/collections team members, maintaining and reporting accurate AR metrics, management of the collection process and communication with management on key issues resulting in improved, consistent and accurate billing and collections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire Accounts Receivable function, including managing deductions and rebates, to ensure timely collections and minimize financial exposure.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AR professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for driving performance, based on accountability, results and outcomes.
- Solves controls issues as the “root cause” and create broad organizational learning.
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to maintain accuracy and compliance in all AR processes.
- Conduct and oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all AR-related accounts are accurate and reflect proper financial standing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline AR operations, reduce overdue balances, and improve cash flow.
- Analyze AR data and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred. Long-Term Health Care highly preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in accounts receivable management, with a strong background in deductions, rebates, and tangible product experience.
- Proven experience leading and managing high-performing AR teams.
- Expertise in developing and implementing internal controls and AR processes.
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
*This role is located on site, 5 days a week in our Columbus, Ohio office; light travel may be required.
