AMMO, Inc. uses precision manufacturing to bring you premium quality and reliable ammunition whether it’s for firearms enthusiasts, military & law enforcement agencies, competitive shooters, or casual users. We are seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team in Scottsdale.
Summary
Responsible for the financial statement preparations and financial reporting. Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts as well as other special projects.
Essential Job Functions
- Preparation of GAAP financial statements including Balance Sheet, Statement of Operations, Statement of Cash Flows, Statement of Changes in Stockholders’ Equity
- Works with the Corporate Accounting team to prepare the related footnotes in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Assist with preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures for SEC filings (Form 10-K, 10-Q, etc.).
- Manage the delivery of financial reports and analysis used by management to monitor financial performance and supports the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages that include a full set of financial statements and analytical review explanation of significant variances.
- Actively participate in preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Actively participate in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual/quarterly planning processes.
- Provide technical accounting support, including research, and application of new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards promulgated by GAAP and the SEC.
- Prepare and ensure adherence to required SOX controls documentation for assigned areas.
- Assist with audits.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Other accounting duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA Preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably including public accounting or in a similar role.
Minimum Skills and Experience:
- Experience with the preparation of financial statements.
- Skilled with the preparation of GAAP and SEC filings a plus.
- Experience with consolidations and consolidating financial statements.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Skilled in performing detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, coworkers, managers and other departments.
- Must be able to influence change & lead those who oppose change.
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite and written communication skills.
Scope: Directly affect the daily operations of the company through interaction with accounting and operations team.
Impact: Effective performance of the responsibilities of this position has a direct effect on the ability of the company to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
Working Conditions: Work is carried out in a controlled, agreeable office environment.
Activity: 75% sitting, 10% walking, 15% standing
Mental and Aptitude Requirements: Position requires the incumbent to have a high level of accounting knowledge, the ability to generate results and a very high degree of mental alertness and attention to details.
