TITLE: Grants Manager - Wasatch Adaptive Sports
LOCATION: Snowbird Resort and Murray, Utah office location
STATUS: Full-time, Hourly - $58K to $75K
SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Mon – Friday, some evenings & weekends necessary

SUMMARY
The Grants Manager will play a major role in fundraising, achieving revenue goals, and informing strategy with a primary focus on grant writing and reporting. This person will use exceptional writing and researching skills to access new high-level grant opportunities and play a vital role in building relationships with valued funders.

Under the direction of the Development Director, the Grants Manager is responsible for executing the grants portion of the fundraising plan according to established annual revenue goals.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Write compelling grant proposals and applications, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents.
- Develop proposal strategies that align WAS’s priorities with those of the funder.
- Drive the prospecting and cultivation of new donor relationships to secure funding.
- Lead the stewardship of strong, meaningful relationships with funders and grant makers through email, phone calls, site visits, event preparation and event attendance.
- Ensure proposals meet all guidelines, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with colleagues and other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and accuracy of information.
- Maintain well-organized, informative grant and fundraising databases.
- Execute WAS’s fundraising strategy according to grantmaking performance metrics and revenue goals.
- Assist in the development of writing, design, production, and distribution of communications materials as it pertains to grantmaking.
- Support the planning and execution of new and existing fundraising events and campaigns.
- Support the WAS Fundraising Committee.
- Steward WAS culture and values.
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- A minimum of two years of grant writing experience in the nonprofit sector with demonstrated success.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
- A passion for Wasatch Adaptive Sports’ mission and work.
- Must be competent in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Highly developed organizational and time management skills including the ability to successfully manage multiple prospects, requests, and meet competing deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop meaningful relationships and to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strong ability to think strategically, develop plans, and execute and evaluate them successfully.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to learning.
- Experience with Bloomerang, GiveSmart, or other donor and event databases preferred.
- Experience with grant management software and donor research platforms.
WORK SCHEDULE
- 40 hours per week Monday - Friday, some evenings, and weekends necessary.
- Office locations vary between Murray, UT and Snowbird Resort.
- Occasional local travel is required.
