Job Summary
Prepares, researches, and analyzes financial and utilization information to support the department.
Essential Functions
- Performs statistical, cost, and financial variance analysis of data to evaluate financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Provides guidance on business issues including financial and profitability analysis. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
- Serves as a consultant to assigned areas of the organization to support the financial goals and objectives of Corewell Health.
- Helps facilitate the process for the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and monthly projection for the system.
- Maintains and assists other finance team members on the budget and management reporting software.
- Assists on business issues including financial and profitability analysis. Develops solutions to problems which require ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
- Collaborates with assigned areas of the organization and/or senior level analysts or leadership to analyze financial data.
QualificationsRequired- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
- 3 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or related work.
Preferred- Master's Degree in Business or Finance.
- Formal or informal leadership experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State of Michigan.
