Job Summary
- Provides professional accounting expertise to ensure that transactions of the Company’s operations are accurately recorded, analyzed, and reported in a timely, cost-effective manner in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and in compliance with regulatory, state and federal requirements.
Essential Functions
- Perform general accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.
- Prepare journal entry support, workpapers and financial statement disclosures.
- Perform variance and metrics analyses.
- Draft and operationalize accounting policies.
- Perform technical accounting research prepared accounting memos.
- Respond to internal and external requests for information.
- Prepare audit schedules for external audits.
- Participates on and/or leads cross functional project teams involved in the design, development, testing and implementation of automated systems, reengineering of processes, or implementation of new requirements and systems.
- Must demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Ethics and Compliance Code of Conduct, and other Company policies and procedures, and take all required training courses.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification/Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance work experience.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics
- A solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Able to take direction and work with close attention to detail, in a highly accurate manner to produce complete and timely work.
- Able to motivate self, perform duties, accomplish tasks and achieve goals independently or with minimal supervision including self-directed learning.
- Ability to organize data in a manner that produces easy to understand workpapers.
- Able to prioritize work, meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks concurrently and respond flexibly to changing work priorities.
- Able to demonstrate and apply proficiency in the use of personal computers and their business applications, including Endur, Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and across departmental, organizational and functional lines to achieve results while maintaining a high level of independence.
Physical Requirements
- Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing, utilizing clear and concise language.
- Capable of operating a personal computer, whether it is a desktop or laptop, for extended periods of time to create, compose, and review documents and spreadsheets.
- Able to reach, grasp, and manipulate items necessary to perform job tasks.
- Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time as required by job responsibilities.
- Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Working Conditions
- Able to work in a fast-paced office environment with a high-volume workload, including the possibility of working beyond standard hours and on nights/weekends to meet deadlines.
