A dynamic company in the Norcross, GA area is seeking an Accounting Manager, specializing in the light manufacturing and distribution industry. This role will serve as a pivotal member of the leadership team and support colleagues across finance, accounting, HR, and administrative functions within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong hands-on approach to accounting practices, overseeing the preparation of P&L statements, balance sheets, and all associated journal entries.
- Collaborate closely with external CPA firm to ensure accurate financial reporting, tax planning, and compliance.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning processes.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risk.
- Support HR initiatives including payroll management and benefits administration.
- Oversee administrative functions to ensure efficient office operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency with financial software systems.
- Experience in managing inventory, preferably within a manufacturing or related industry.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
