Job Summary:
Our Houston Bank client is looking for an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join their team in Houston at Beltway and I-10. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing credit applications, reviewing financial statements, and making informed lending decisions. Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze credit applications, including loan origination, underwriting, and mortgage servicing.
- Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
- Conduct quantitative research to identify trends and potential risks in the financial markets.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective portfolio management and fraud prevention.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of financial acumen and its application in the credit analysis process.
- Provide expert guidance to junior analysts and support the development of their skills.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Experience:
- College degree in finance, business, or related educational experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in banking with a focus on credit analysis or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully analyzing credit applications and making informed lending decisions.
- Strong understanding of financial services, including loan processing, mortgage servicing, and loan origination.
- Experience with underwriting and portfolio management, with a focus on identifying and mitigating risk.
- Familiarity with quantitative research methods and their application in the credit analysis process.
- Experience with fraud prevention and detection, with a focus on identifying and preventing fraudulent activity.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret financial statements and other relevant data.
