Cost Reimbursement continuously improves the reimbursement process for BJC HealthCare. Responsible for third-party reimbursement with responsibilities for cost report review, fiscal intermediary interaction, regulatory review and system wide analyses involving third-party reimbursement.
Role PurposeThis role is responsible for the management of government programs reimbursement, striving to continuously improve the reimbursement process for BJC Healthcare. The individual will supervise certain Reimbursement Managers and have responsibility for reviewing cost reports and directing Missouri Medicaid matters, including the FRA program.
Responsibilities- Reviews third-party cost reports, DSH audit surveys, and other required filings
- Keeps current on Medicare and Medicaid regulatory changes
- Assist the Department Director with the third-party component of the MYM and budget
- Review the ongoing changes to the FRA program to understand the impact of the changes to BJC HealthCare and to participate as a member of the FRA Policy Committee
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
