Cyber-Controls Analyst Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for vetting, analyzing, and implementation of various cyber security platforms within the client ASD.
Cyber-Controls Analyst Job Duties:
- Develop Information Security Plans and Policies
- Help plan and carry out client’s information security strategy for the ASD.
- Assist in the development of cyber security BMPs for the organization, and recommend security enhancements to the PMO and client management as needed.
- From a software level, help to develop strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach.
- Responsible for educating the workforce on information security through training and building awareness.
- Implement protections.
- Work with ASD Operations teams to configure, install, and commission various software platforms, such as firewalls, data encryption programs, and various best in class software platforms to protect client’s sensitive information.
Cyber-Controls Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent work experience
- A+ and Server+ Certification or practical field experience
- Scripting/Programming Skills in SQL or practical field experience
- CCNA or other Cisco certifications
- Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering
- Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods
- Experience designing secure networks, systems and application architectures
- Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods
- Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures
- Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications
- Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management
- Ability to read and use the results of mobile code, malicious code, and anti-virus software
- Ability to be onsite 5 days a week in Rochester, NY with no relocation offered.
Pay Range: $95,000—$110,000 USD
